Job Vacancy: BIM Technician

Reporting to: BIM Manager

Salary range: £24,000 - £32,000 (dependent upon experience and negotiable for the right candidate)

Location: Office based, Hybrid working

The CAD Room are one of the leading Building Information Modelling (BIM) companies in the UK providing a quality service to our clients in the MEP, architectural, sprinkler and surveying fields of engineering. We are currently taking on bigger and brighter projects and are on the lookout for highly motivated & exceptional people with a desire to become the next generation of BIM Specialists.

We are currently looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable BIM Technician (MEP) who has previous experience working within healthcare, commercial and residential sectors. The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role for a minimum of 2 years, producing coordinated 3D models and detailed drawings using Revit MEP, AutoCAD and Navisworks.

Criteria: Knowledge, Education and Experience

a. GCSE in Math’s and English (or equivalent qualification) at Grade C or above.

b. Good working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office and other IT packages.

c. Minimum 2 years’ experience of working with Auto CAD.

d. Minimum 2 years’ experience of working with REVIT MEP.

e. Minimum 2 years’ experience of using Navisworks for clash detection.

f. Experience of working in the building services industry.

g. Good knowledge of Engineering Design Principles.

h. Good knowledge and understanding of manufacturing and construction processes.

i. Knowledge of material properties.

j. Knowledge and understanding of BS1192 /BIM Level 2 standards.

k. Understanding of RFI procedures.

l. Understanding of schedules.

m. Experience of attending site meetings.
