Resi are currently hiring for a BIM Lead to join the team on a full-time permanent basis. This is a unique role within the business, perfect for an ambitious, Revit-savvy designer who’s passionate about residential architecture, and keen to step away from design into a more BIM focused role that sits outside of the typical linear BIM trajectory. The role will initially have flex into supporting the day to day architectural output of the Studios, as the individual progresses over time the role will likely become a full-time BIM focused role. Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with day to day BIM concerns
- Implementing new processes, as well as assessing our existing processes to identify opportunities for improvement, to consistently develop our implementation of BIM
- Learn our existing template inside out, making updates to the template where required, and looking at ways in which it can be improved and taught to others
- Onboarding support for new hires into the studios, making sure Revit is set up correctly on laptops and they are upskilled on Resi processes
- Work with other internal teams such as the Surveying team, to support and suggest improvements to processes
- Implementation + training on new plug ins
- Support Resi Studio Managers as required to facilitate scaling Resi Studio use of external drafting resources, involving management of relationships, standards, prioritisation, document control and processes
- Assist Head of Tech Ops in conducting trials with new drafting partners incl. technical appraisal of trial participant drafting quality and ability to scale as a successful drafting partner
- Ongoing maintenance / upskilling as appropriate of existing drafting partners and critical appraisal of drafting quality
- Act as decision maker on drafting partner queries and arbiter between internal Resi and external drafters
- Lead the development of an efficient internal checking process for drafting partner output
About You:
We know that every individual brings something different to the table, but to have the best chance of success in this role, we think you need to have;
- An architectural design background, ideally in private residential
- A minimum of 2 years’ Revit (BIM) experience
- The ability to confidently manage multiple technical stakeholders, both internal and external
- The ability to work well independently and proactively
- Strong problem solving skills
- Organised, good time management skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good interpersonal skills
- A high level of maturity
- A real willingness to learn, adapt and provide solutions
