Our operational teams are pivotal to both the Sales and Service Delivery areas of Amber. As a Billing Administrator, you are responsible for monthly billing, processing of change of tenancy data, system administration and client reporting.


What will you be doing?


  • Monthly retrieval of remotely accessed meter reads
  • Creating estimated meter read data where required
  • Converting meter read data into a standardised format to upload into the billing system
  • Generating batches of invoices, analysing the costs against previous periods, and looking for and reviewing anomalies
  • Generating customer reminders in the billing system
  • General administration of the billing system; setting up new sites, customers, contracts etc
  • Yearly administration of the billing system, such as setting up new tariffs
  • Generation of monthly reporting to clients on sign up rates and debt
  • Conducting monthly quality checks of data within the billing system
  • Processing of back office tasks for the customer service team e.g., processing move in/outs

What does good look like?


Essential:
  • To be an advanced and / or regular user of Excel
  • An analytical eye to be able to spot errors/trends in data
  • To be a problem solver with strong numerical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with written communication skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment to a consistently high standard
  • To be a team player
  • To have a professional communication style with confidence to discuss issues with site managers
  • Customer focused
Desirable:
  • Experience of billing processes, ideally in a domestic energy environment
  • Familiarity with salesforce and Skybill are advantageous
