The Role
This role is key to deliver company targets towards digitalisation, designing and managing the implementation of effective data and digital solutions. As part of the Business Intelligence team, BI Solutions work to deliver low-code solutions and data engineering, using the Microsoft Power Platform and other tools/coding languages (Alteryx, Python etc.), to deliver best in class process automation, user applications and reporting supporting the wider business. Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Support the Company’s digitalisation strategy. Learn to develop M365 applications (SharePoint, PowerApps etc) and digitise/automate processes.
  • Apply a range of structured investigation techniques and identify problems / opportunities within a business situation.
  • Elicit business/ data needs from relevant sources.
  • Document clear functional and non-functional requirements in line with local standards.
  • Maintain current knowledge of developments within the Power Platform and related technologies.
  • Identify innovative ways to combine technologies to provide improved ways of working.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to maintain and develop existing relationships to provide a platform for further organic growth.
  • Effectively communicate with customers, meet on regular basis to provide project updates.
  • Identify issues with changes to the Power Platform (e.g., deprecated features) and ensure solutions are kept current and stable.
  • Support and take part in the development of BI management tools to create an ecosystem that monitors and identifies issues and fixes applied.

Working Hours
37.5 hours p/w, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. WFH 4 out of 5 days p/w, 1 day office based.

Salary
£20,000 - £22,000 p/a

Training Provided
The broad purpose of the occupation is to understand the needs of stakeholders and how these can be met through business change and digital solutions. Business Analysts are change professionals that help organisations deliver business and digital change successfully. Apprentices will enrol with an external training partner, receiving a blended method of learning which includes remote meetings, workshops, online resources, and internal training to support them to achieve a nationally recognised Level 4 Business Analyst Apprenticeship Standard.

Required Skills, Experience & Education
  • A Level or equivalent in a Technology/STEM subject
  • Previous work experience and evidence of practical application of studies/theory (e.g. through projects delivered in the workplace) is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability and enthusiasm to problem solve.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Problem solving: Identify innovative ways to solve problems; continuously improve how we work.
  • Ability to work with accuracy to tight deadlines.
  • Communications: Share insight, thoughts, and information effectively with others. Provide regular feedback to ensure that performance expectations are met.
  • Accountability: Assume responsibility for actions and results, prioritise and manage work allocation effectively.
  • Customer Focus: Understand the needs and challenges of your customer through insight.
