The distribution team is responsible for managing transport flows, quality / cost and lead times for the customer. This includes daily monitoring of "ready for transport" vehicles, the number of vehicles secured by transport suppliers together with the ageing of vehicles. You will also ensure there is a daily monitoring of compound operators; including the number of vehicles waiting for PDI / on hold and report on compound storage and transit capacity.

Job Description
The duties and responsibilities of the Distribution Team Leader role include:
- Management of 3PL performance KPIs
- Deputizing for the Operations Manager when required
- Supporting senior management with reporting, process development, training and KPI management
- Taking necessary actions in the event of performance failure
- Challenging suppliers with their transport planning
- Finding internal / external alternative solutions to offer the customer
- Communicate status and organize relocation of cars to dedicated places for quality checks, retrofits etc
- Monitor the proper execution of transport operations both operationally and administratively
- Ensure the consistency of data within the systems in relation to the activity.
- Update monitoring tables to ensure proper reporting of the activity.
- Provide the operational interface between client, suppliers, loading centers, other departments of the company (including offices abroad).
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate for this Distribution Team Leader role will:
· Have previous Business to Business experience (preferably from the transport, distribution or freights sector)
· Organisation and planning skills together with the ability to prioritise
· Be a collaborative team player - able to analyse problems and find resolutions
· Knowledge of transport organisation and transport regulations is preferable
· Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with good knowledge of office software and internal business applications.

This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday covering various shift patterns between 8am – 6pm
