Part Time (17.5 hours per week worked flexibly)
The role can be worked either on a 2.5 day basis or the hours spread across Monday – Friday. We would ask for availability on Wednesdays for virtual or in person team meetings.
Your core working hours are 11am to 3pm and you can operate between 7am – 9pm. That means you’ve the opportunity to manage your hours around our core times to fit in with your work and lifestyle commitments.
Work locations: Home (main) / Cardiff Head Office (occasional)
Working mainly from home you may need to travel to our Cardiff City Centre Head Office as the job requires on an ad-hoc basis such as team meetings. Although we love to see our people work in the office as much as they are able to we don’t set regular and weekly office days as we know how important flexibility is to all of us.

What you'll need to succeed
You’re already a confident Benefits Advisor so you know what it takes to listen and gather the key information you need to help and advise in the best way. You’ve the right balance of people and communication skills to understand and explain things properly to our services users. You’ve a logical and organised approach to managing your work and handle a mixture of the more complex or simple caseloads effectively. And, you’ll have experience of liaising with the DWP, local authorities, Tribunal Service and other organisations to resolve individual issues.

To be considered your CV should demonstrate you match our Person Specification requirements in having:
- Previous or relevant experience of working in a Welfare Benefits role with practical experience of liaising and negotiating with the DWP/HRMC/Local Authorities and so forth
- Up to date knowledge & ability to reference Government legislation & policy development
