Job description
Required: Bench joiner in a joinery work shop, carpenter, shop fitter based in Birmingham.
Applicant must be able to read technical drawings, from the drawings the applicant must be able to:
Cut sheet materials - MDF, MFMDF, MFC Polycarbonate, Solid surface, soft wood, hardwood and laminate sheets.
The applicant is to assemble materials using screws, pins glue and dowels to the drawings provided, assemble, make window frames, and doors. Cut, glue, join, sand, bend solid surface. The applicant must also be able to stick laminate sheets to MDF, MFMDF using spray adhesive.
The applicant will be asked at times to attend various sites around the country, This will mean staying away from home. Site work will include assembling joinery manufactured by us, securing prefinished boards to walls, creating wooden/structures, partitions on site, erection of metal/wooden shelving, Installing doors and frames, skirting boards and architrave
Tools the applicant should have experience with:
Panel/table saw, morticer, table router, air tools/pin gun, jig saw, plunge saw, circular saw, mitre saw, hand router, cordless drills, angle grinder and various other hand held tools.
A full driving licence would be helpful.
We are looking for a keen hard working, sociable individual who is willing to work as part of a group. The individual may not hold all the attributes above, if they are willing to learn we are willing to teach/provide training.

Salary: £10.00-£16.00 per hour
