The Primary Behaviour Service is a team of skilled practitioners with extensive experience of working in Hampshire and Isle of Wight primary schools supporting them to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being. We are a referral-based service offering outreach and inreach support for primary aged children with social, emotional and mental health needs who struggle to manage in school.
In this role you will have the chance to use your skills in a brand-new way, stretching your talents and supporting children that need help the most. This role will require you to be able to work with schools to develop behaviour management strategies to support their children in schools; and be a key team member in our centre. You will also be liaising with colleagues in schools around strategies to engage their children and help them to manage the demands of the classroom.
We are looking for a Behaviour Support Worker of the highest calibre, with specific experience in primary school education. You should be able to co-operate with other key professionals, willing to travel and ready to engage with parents including those who may not value education. Tenacious, understanding and good with people, you will be a natural diplomat who recognises the challenges faced by all involved and have the skills to facilitate progression for our children.
