Job description
The Box Encapsulation Plant project is one of the most important construction
projects at the Sellafield Site, the plant will play a vital role in Sellafield’s 100-
year clean-up programme by taking nuclear waste recovered from the sites
original wasteplants and encasing it in concrete so it can be stored in a modern
building. The plant is primarily designed to deal with waste from the Magnox
Swarf Storage Silo, one of four legacy waste plants prioritised for clean-up by
Sellafield Ltd.’s owner, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). Alongside
that work, the plant will also receive certain wastes from the other three legacy
waste stores, the First-Generation Magnox Storage Pond, the Pile Fuel Storage
Pond, and Pile Fuel Cladding Silo
The BEP Joint Venture project will safely design and deliver a Plant and the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract to enable conditioning of wastes from the various donor plants, carried out in line with the Employer’s needs and to the satisfaction of stakeholders in the Box Encapsulation Project (BEP).
Balfour Beatty Major Projects team have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager based at our Warrington site.
As a Project Manager, you will project manage the office closure of Washington House office in Birchwood, managing the relocation of all project personnel to the client office at Hinton House in Birchwood.
What you'll be doing
Some other key areas will include:
- Liaising with the project commercial team to agree the close out of the lease with the landlord at Washington house
- Working collaboratively with the IT Manager in the setting up of IT at Hinton House, ensuring it meets the projects IT requirements
- Liaising with office Manager at Hinton House to ensure that the BEP project is allocated an adequate number of desk space, and to set up a desk seating plan that meets the needs of the delivery area.
- Liaising with the project Security manager and Sellafield Security to ensure all security arrangements meet the project’s needs
- Liaising with the Facility Manager in Washington House to ensure Washington House is restored to its original state and project manage any work required.
- Organising transport of office equipment to Hinton House
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
- Experience of previous office moves or office set up would be an
- Relevant Project Management experience
- Ability to work with several key stakeholders
