Financial Crime MLRO Support
London
As a Barclays Financial Crime MLRO Support you will work directly with the Financial Crime Management Team, ensuring appropriate escalation of issues through governance, including the preparation and management of governance for a. You will engage with business and compliance services stakeholders to ensure appropriate escalation, tracking of regulatory commitments and material issues/remediation programs.

• Checking issues requiring escalation through governance, with a key focus on messaging to ensure the risk to the organization is appropriately articulated
- Applying Financial Crime SME to issues, assessing materiality and determining appropriate next steps
- Tracking regulatory obligations and material initiatives, ensuring timely updates and appropriate escalations
- Supporting and driving the functional people agenda, including colleague engagement, talent calibration and colleague recognition
- Preparing MLRO reports and governance papers for senior management committees
- Ensuring SMR steps are adequately executed and documented
- Analyzing large volumes of data and information to make a sophisticated and informed assessments of risk
- Articulating rationale and approach for decision making to senior stakeholders in a succinct and concise manner
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in financial crime compliance
- Solid SME across Financial Crime regulation, guidance, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Knowledge of different business segments and the associated financial crime risks
- Ability to manage competing priorities and demanding workloads
• Experience in Risk & Governance, including the ability to navigate complex governance structures
- Creative and forward thinking, striving to improve and find solutions through effective innovation and ability to manage project and programmes of work end to end
- Highly organised and structured with excellent written communications skills
- Knowledge of UK Senior Management Regime
