Job description
Role Description:
Process incoming raw materials to ensure that quality is maintained by completing and ensuring acceptance testing is carried out and documented appropriately.
Responsibilities:
Identify basic mechanical malfunctions with incoming raw material systems and action repairs.
Monitor incoming raw material environmental compliance and to report and action non-conformance conditions appropriately.
Assist supervision in the daily operation and control of batch and furnace operations as required.
Operate departmental vehicles (Shovel and Forklift Trucks) and support the Yard Double/Dayshift operators within the Department.
Required skills / qualifications:
Educated to National 5 Level – Grade C or above in Maths, Science and English.
Ability to operate Forklift Truck and Mechanical Shovel.
Computer literate with good oral and written communication skills.
An understanding of the procedures relating to incoming raw materials.
An understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Tools and continuous improvement.
Awareness of relevant Health & Safety Hygiene regulations.
What we offer:
Salary based on Grade 4 of the harmonised pay scales. Minimum grade £23,350 p.a. to maximum grade £26,325 p.a.
