Job description

ABOUT US

The Experimental Group was founded in 2007 by three childhood friends, Olivier Bon, Pierre-Charles Cros, and Romée de Goriainoff. Xavier Padovani later joined them and shared their vision: to offer the ultimate hospitality experience to an ever-demanding clientele.

Celebrated for bringing the cocktail bar culture to Paris, the Experimental Group operates Experimental Cocktail Club bars in Paris, London, Venice and Verbier; wine bars, Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels, in Paris, London and New York City; restaurants and beach clubs in Menorca, Verbier, Paris, Venice, Ibiza and London; and hotels in London, the Cotswolds, Paris, Ibiza, Verbier, Menorca, Venice and Biarritz.

Our philosophy of service is constituted and affirmed by three key principles: the quality of its products, the precision of service, and the warm welcome of our guests.

Henrietta Hotel opened in 2017 in the heart of Covent Garden, the hotel is composed of 40 rooms, divided in two buildings. The restaurant on the ground floor has been launched by Italian Supper Club. Drawing inspiration from the Italian food tradition, the menu explores new interpretations using local ingredients and products. The team mainly works with seasonal products and offers menus that are rich, generous, and diverse.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience, top presentation, ambition, zero pretension - this is what we are looking for in our Baristas.

The Barista must be impeccable in all areas of our activity – drinks, cleanliness of his bar station, guest relation, speech, and presentation.

Hot Drinks & Cocktails

● Learn the hot drinks on the menu such as coffee, tea, along with some of the classic cocktails served during the day. Understand and know about the products used.

● Prepare and serve the hot drinks, and cocktails, respecting our basic rules: use of jiggers at all times, perfectly measured, clean bar tools, swift response time. All while adhering to our principle of aiming to provide the best drinking experience without a hint of pretension.

● Communicate to the servers their needs well in advance.

● Assist in setting and maintaining the company standards for the restaurant service and drinks quality.

Guest Relation

● Greet and interact with guests.

● In cooperation with the Servers, ensure that the client is seated, provided with a menu, and thoroughly taken care of from that point forward.

● If the server is absent for whatever reason, the barista nonetheless ensures that the client’s needs are covered.

● Create a welcoming environment for guests, assess their needs, present the drinks menu, and make recommendations.

● Take and serve drinks orders.

Cleanliness, and opening of the bar

● Be responsible for the opening of the bar, following the procedural list, from the set-up to taking out the rubbish at the end of the shift, and everything in between.

● The opening duties are part of a collective effort from all team members, as is the cleanliness of the bar throughout the entire service.

● Apply all food and beverage safety and quality regulations.

Communication & Reporting

● Communicate with the Bar Manager for inventory issues, client comments, and general reporting.

● Comply with all reasonable direction and/or requests from the Management Team.
