Job Title: Barista
Location: Hinba Coffee Roasters, Oban
We are a specialty coffee shop that prides itself on providing our customers with the finest quality coffee and exceptional customer service. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Barista to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and serving a variety of coffee and tea beverages.
- Ensuring that each beverage is made to the customer’s specifications and meets our high-quality standards.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee bar, brewing equipment, and storage areas.
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of our coffee and tea offerings, including their origins, flavor profiles, and brewing methods.
- Providing friendly and efficient customer service, answering customer questions, and making recommendations based on their preferences.
- Operating the cash register and handling card transactions.
- Restocking supplies and ingredients as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role in a specialty coffee shop.
- Knowledge of different brewing methods and techniques.
- Familiarity with specialty coffee and tea products, including their origins, flavor profiles, and brewing methods.
- Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to engage with customers and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Flexibility to work early morning, evening, and weekend shifts as required.

Salary: Up to £11.00 per hour
