We are currently hiring part-time and full-time baristas to join our team at our exciting flagship store 505 Hwy 7, Thornhill. The functions of this job entail payment handling at the POS, customer service, sales & daily routine cleanliness & maintenance, drink preparation and various duties required in a cafe. The ideal candidates should be available a minimum of 3-5 days per week including the ability to work afternoons, evenings, during the day & weekends/holidays.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Craft beverages, prepare toppings, and package food for customers
· Operate the Point of Sales (POS) terminal
· Maintain inventory by replenishing stock when needed from storage
· Maintain safe and healthy work environments by following formalized standard operating procedures
· Maintain a consistently clean and well-maintained sales floor and stockroom
· Adhere to the cleaning schedule to prolong the life of all equipment
Requirements:
· Previous experience working in food and beverage industry (preferably >1 year working in food & beverage and/or retail)
· Excellent customer service skills, excellent team player
· Excellent communication skills, in English, Mandarin is preferred but not required.
· Able to work well under pressure
· Ability to work standing, occasionally lift up to 25kg and carry items as required
· As a part time barista - ability to work for at least 15 hours per week (please do not apply if you cannot work for at least 15hrs/week)
· Ability to work variable hours including afternoons, evenings, weekends and/or Statutory holidays
· Attend paid training and onboarding sessions prior to commencement of employment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20-30 per week
Salary: From $15.50 per hour
