Clubhouse Assistant - 32 hours per week

Start date: Immediate.
4 days out of 7, including weekends, bank holidays and evenings.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a private members club in the beautiful surroundings of the Surrey heathlands.
The prestigious Woking Golf Club was founded in 1893 and is the oldest of the Surrey heathland courses, ranked 16th in England by Golf World magazine.
We are now seeking an enthusiastic, driven individual to fill the role of Clubhouse Assistant.

Responsibilities and duties are outlined below;
- To ensure that the clubhouse and facilities are maintained to an acceptable standard and provide a welcoming venue and friendly ambiance to members and visitors.
- To support the Clubhouse Manager in the implementing and/or following of procedures concerning recording of stock movements e.g. correct charging of items, billing.
- To ensure high standards of cleanliness throughout the clubhouse.
- To attend meetings when required.
- To handle cash and keys responsibly and according to policy.
- To communicate effectively with and cooperate/ assist the catering operation at all levels when necessary.
- To build positive relationships with members and guests to ensure customer satisfaction.
- To be proactive in maximising sales and generating revenue.
- To assist in the receipt of deliveries.
- To assist in the serving of meals/drinks to members and guests.
- To notify the Clubhouse Manager or his/her deputy where stocks/supplies are low.
- To manage all payment transactions in accordance with the club financial policies and
procedures and to handle all transactions with diligence, honesty and integrity.
- To support colleagues at peak times and to undertake any operational duty which might be
reasonably required, to ensure customer expectations are met.
- To participate, constructively, in performance reviews and to work towards objectives/goals set by the Clubhouse Manager, and to improve any areas of performance felt necessary, in order to maintain an excellent level of service to customers.
- Some cleaning and locker room duties
Having your own transport would be advantageous due to the location of the club.
