WatchHouse is a specialty coffee company with multiple locations across London. As we continue to grow in 2023 we are looking for brilliant Head Baristas to lead our in-House barista teams.
The Head Barista position is a demanding yet rewarding role. It requires the successful applicant to be a standards driven coffee fanatic who is passionate about delivering the best quality product at all times. Customer service must be at the heart of everything you do with a desire to communicate your coffee knowledge and expertise, helping to cement a strong coffee culture at your site.
You are responsible for the efficient running of the coffee station in order to achieve operational excellence. A natural leader, the Head Barista will assist management with the building of a highly skilled and high-achieving team that can cope with the pressures and demands of a busy coffee bar.
This is the perfect role for someone who wants to grow and develop within WatchHouse. The ideal candidate is someone who is already on a path of progression or in a senior barista role already. Someone who takes ownership of their own development, helping the rest of the team digest information and helping out with training and coaching. They help shape the team around them by leading by example. The Head Barista at WatchHouse is someone who leads from the front when it comes to customer engagement- genuinely enjoying connecting with the high dynamic of regular customers the visit the café on a daily basis.
As a Head Barista you’ll play a vital role in the smooth running or each shift by effectively deploying the team behind the machine. Identifying strengths and skills within everyone in the team around them and using them to run the best shifts possible. Ultimately responsible for keeping standards high, providing an unparalleled hospitality, giving the Modern Coffee experience to each and every one of our customers.
Working within an established team, the Head Barista will be part of a management team who work towards business high-performance and success.
The Head Baristas at WatchHouse report directly into House Managers. This is a full time role, contracted to 40 working hours per week.
