On the Fly Café at the Comox Valley Airport is hiring for part-time Barista/Food-prep positions. We are looking for high-energy, outgoing, enthusiastic individuals who have a need for speed! Must be available for split shifts (specifically 8 am -10:45 am / 3 pm - 6 pm) and weekend availability is also required (either a Sat or Sun). You must care about the quality of the food and beverages you're serving. You’ll be in a fast-paced environment where you’ll have the ability to master your food & beverage craft, work alongside friendly people and meet new people every day.

Summary of Experience
- Previous experience in a café or restaurant is required.
Basic Qualifications
- Must currently have both a valid Serving It Right and Food Safe certificate.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
- Meet operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety and security
- Engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication
- Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, the quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
- Strong interpersonal skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Part-time hours: 15-35 per week
Salary: $17.50-$20.00 per hour
