About the Position:

We are looking for someone who loves to meet and make new friends and try out new things, to join either our Park Row or Queen's Road teams. You need to be super friendly and a good team player to work at Jo's Tea. Within our team, we proactively help and support each other.

As one of the leading bubble tea shops in Bristol, our goal is to make bubble tea tasty, healthy and good looking, which requires our staff to be both professional and creative.

You will be working as part of a team to serve customers, prepare and make drinks and desserts, cook ingredients, and package items to be handed out. You will be maintaining shop cleanliness and stock, performing opening and closing tasks, reporting to the on-shift Supervisor and assisting your teammates.

Your Responsibility:

1. Communicating with customers and providing creative recommendations based on well developed expertise;

2. Taking payments and handling delivery platforms such as Deliveroo, Uber Eats, etc;

3. Cooking tapioca and preparing other fresh toppings and ingredients;

4. Brewing teas and making coffees according to recipe;

5. "Clean as you go" and undertaking responsibility for the condition of your station;

6. Closely following recipes to prepare bubble teas of a high standard, these will be well crafted to look beautiful and taste great;

7. Restocking ingredients and stock rotation;

8. Opening and closing the shop following instructions;

9. Maintaining health and safety standards according to guidelines

10. To work closely with the team, maintain clear communication and a positive work environment.

Working Hours:

The full-time position is 35-45 hours a week. The opening times of the shop range between 10:00-20:00, you will be expected to work flexibly around these. This will include opening and closing duties, weekends and bank holidays.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Clear communication and customer skills, able to create a special experience for clients
  • Interpersonal skills, must be able to work well within a team
  • The ability to work independently and show initiative
  • A pleasant personality and the ability to interact in an open and kind manner with customers
  • Time management and efficiency
  • Quick thinking, able to work well under pressure
  • A clear enthusiasm for bubble tea

The Ideal Candidate May Also:

  • Have experience in customer service
  • Have bar or barista training
  • Hospitality experience, preferably cafe or restaurant

We're looking for a motivated and friendly Barista to provide exceptional customer service to all of our customers. Candidates should have previous experience as a Barista, and must be prepared for early morning shifts in an environment that can often be chaotic. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing beverages and ensuring that the lobby area is clean and well stocked.

Responsibilities:

  • Brew coffee and espresso based drinks.
  • Warm milk and steam milk froth.
  • Serve beverages to customers.
  • Follow health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the workspace.
  • Be courteous to customers.
  • Follow cash register procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £8.50-£10.00 per hour
