Job Title: Barista/Coffee Shop Assistant

  • Salary: Starting Salary From £13 (Depending on Experience)

Tenure: Permanent

Hours: Full/PartTime - including some weekends and public holidays

Location: Burghfield, Reading

We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity to join our team as either a full-time or part-time barista at our brand new speciality coffee shop.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and serve a variety of speciality coffee beverages with precision and consistency
  • Take food orders and serve food to customers
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, including coffee machines, equipment, and front-of-house areas
  • Clear and clean tables promptly, ensuring a welcoming environment for our valued customers
  • Engage with customers, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have about our coffee offerings and food menu
  • Uphold high standards of customer service, ensuring every customer leaves satisfied and eager to return
  • Other duties as required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Outgoing, friendly, and enthusiastic about coffee
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to engage and connect with a diverse range of customers
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work weekends and flexibility with scheduling
  • Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided to the right candidate
