Job description
Cornerstone Cafe is looking for a great team player to join us at the Canmore Nordic Centre. The Cafe is part of the Cornerstone family, including Cornerstone Catering and Cornerstone Weddings. We are currently looking for an experienced Cafe Attendant/Barista to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.
Duties of the position include:
- Greeting customers to Cornerstone Cafe.
- Serving customers and preparing specialty beverages, as requested.
- Serving sandwiches, soups, chilis, and other food items.
- Assisting with the preparation/cooking of soup, chilis, and baked goods.
- Cooking fries, burgers, grilled sandwiches (after training)
- Accepting payment for purchases.
- Performing a cash-out at the end of each shift.
- Keeping the cafe clean and tidy and ensuring all food handling regulations are adhered to.
Experience:
Previous Barista or food and beverage experience is required in this role. We are looking for someone who is customer-focused, enjoys interacting with the public, is punctual and reliable.
The working environment involves being on your feet for most of your shift (up to 8 hours) and working within a small team or sometimes independently.
Please note: This position is at the Canmore Nordic Centre. You must have either your own vehicle or reliable transportation to this location, as there is limited public transit to the Canmore Nordic Centre. (available for summer 2024 only)
