At our proper pub sites we pride ourselves on providing a proper home for live sport, serving a proper pint and consistently offering proper pub food. We aim to create a proper, traditional pub atmosphere for our guests. Proper pubs are transparent and simple. What you see is what you get in every venue. If you are passionate about providing our guests with great quality and straightforward food and drink then a career at a proper pub could be for you. The Plough in Ipswich is a traditional city centre pub, ideal for our guests to enjoy a quiet drink, a business lunch or simply somewhere to relax after work. We are a comfortable alternative, to the stuffy restaurants, fast food joints & town centre watering holes. There is a large split level main bar, with a separate restaurant, patio and other seating areas. The Plough is popular with football supporters on match days. The original building dates from the 17th century but in the late 1880s this building was reduced in size when Dog's Head st was widened & straightened for trams.
