Job description
As the country’s leading pub company and brewer, we welcome our customers through our doors and brew our iconic range of well-loved crafted ales every day.
WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
We are the country’s leading pub company and brewer, running over 2,700 pubs, restaurants and hotels in towns, villages and city-centre high streets across England, Wales and Scotland.
It’s our rich heritage of more than 200 years that has taught us how to brew award-wining beer and operate pubs from our base in Bury St. Edmunds ever since the company was founded in 1799 by 19 year-old Benjamin Greene.
As a company, we pride ourselves on consistently offering exceptional value, service and quality to all our customers. This ethos is central to everything we do in our business: the products that we offer, the ales that we brew, the affordable prices that we charge, the team members who serve our customers and the atmosphere of our pubs, restaurants and hotels.
OUR BUSINESSES
We want to be considered by our customers, team members and shareholders as the best pub company in Britain. To help us get there, we split our business into three key sections: Pub Company, Pub Partners and Brewing & Brands.
Pub Company
Our Pub Company is made up of all the pubs, restaurants and hotels that we manage in England, Scotland and Wales. It includes much-loved brands like Hungry Horse, Chef & Brewer, Farmhouse Inns and Flaming Grill, as well as our Greene King Local pubs. We’re proud that our pubs are places where communities come together. We love seeing our customers relaxing while catching up with friends, watching sport, or even treating the family to a delicious Sunday roast.
About The Role
As a Bar / Floor team member you’ll be passionate about putting smiles on our guest’s faces and work as part of brilliant team that pull together to give our guests the best experience with us. Serving in a busy environment, you will be knowledgeable about our great food on offer as well as serving the perfect serve drinks.
About You**
You don’t need to have experience (though it can help) as we’ll teach you everything you need… All you need is a warm and friendly personality, willingness to learn and a genuine love for what you do.
It’s our people that make our pubs special and we think the best hospitality comes from people who can be themselves and show customers their personality.
