We are currently looking for a Banksman to join our team in Luton on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As a Banksman, you will co-ordinate the safe and efficient movement of visiting and on-site vehicles at our facility in Luton.

You’ll ensure that the traffic management plan, site rules and safe working procedures are adhered to by all staff and visitors. Assisting vehicles which need help manoeuvring, you will ensure that pedestrians move around safely and only use designated routes.

Performing weighbridge duties, you’ll complete relevant documentation and ensure waste carriers license details are recorded.

Additionally, you will:
  • Induct visitors to the site
  • Inspect incoming DMR loads
  • Perform general cleansing and maintenance tasks
  • Undertake daily checks of equipment
Please note, this role involves manual handling, standing throughout the working day and a range of general labouring duties.

About You

To be considered as a Banksman, you will need:
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • To be organised and methodical
  • To recognise the importance of good housekeeping and health & safety
