Banking Analyst – Operations
£22,000 to £24,000 with annual 5% Bonus
This is a Hybrid position based in Swindon
With the Finance Operations Team, the Banking Analyst will perform necessary operational tasks to support the financial, regulatory, and operational banking responsibilities of the team and department.
You will also be proactive in identifying and implementing areas for improvement through a thorough understanding of the day-to-day tasks, operational requirements, business challenges and upcoming changes.
The Banking Analyst will actively seek enhancements to support the growth of the programmes and eliminate pain points identified throughout the client and customer journey, reporting and excellent business relationships.
Relationship Management is a key part of this role and the Banking Analyst will need to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams at PPS, 3rd party suppliers and also with clients when required.
What you will be doing:
- Managing relevant client queries
- Assisting other business areas with process improvements
- Client onboarding and ongoing support
- Review and improve existing processes
- Reporting
- Process documentation
- Engaging with external parties
- Supporting business as usual (BAU) tasks
- Primary level authorisation for specified financial tasks
- Identifying problems with the business area through BAU tasks
- Additional specific responsibilities to be defined and revised from time to time by your line manager as appropriate for the role
Essential:
- Awareness of or previous experience in a banking environment is desired but not integral
- A good head for numbers
- Strong communications skills – both written and verbal
- Experience in continuous improvement is desired but not integral
- Ability to analyse data - attention to detail essential
- Self-motivator – happy to work in a fast paced environment
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong desire to challenge current processes and procedures
- Ability to work confidently with key business areas and clients
The successful candidate will excel in their role if they are able to enthusiastically overcome hurdles, quickly adjust to changing priorities, and remain light-hearted while working in a pressured financial and technical environment.
