Job Title: Bank Waking Night Therapeutic Residential Support Worker
Location: Bacup, Rossendale
Salary: £15.00 per hour
Hours: Varied (10 hour shifts)
Annual Leave: Will accrue annual leave based on hours worked.
The main job purpose of a Waking Night Therapeutic Residential Support Worker is to work as a member of a team and to undertake night-time duties. The aim of this role is to work is to support the young people during the night in all aspects of their care at night (physical care as well as personal and emotional needs) and to support the therapeutic care of the young persons placement.
The Waking Night Therapeutic Residential Support Worker involves safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the young people.
Requirements:
- To have an up to date, valid enhanced DBS or be willing to undertake a DBS check.
- To be on the Update Service with an up to date DBS.
- Full UK driving license
- Over the age of 21 (This is a Genuine Occupational Requirement in line with the Equality Act 2010)
- GCSE or Equivalent
- Experience of working nights.
- Experience/willingness to lone work.
- To work night shifts.
- To work weekends as required.

We are looking for Therapeutic Care Givers to join our team. 'Professional parents’ who are nurturing and supportive, that can give our children, high levels of care and allow them to achieve amazing outcomes. The role is to promote and encourage independence and life skills for our young people, ensuring that their safety and wellbeing underpins every decision we make.
We are recruiting enthusiastic, committed, reliable and proactive Therapeutic Care Givers to provide support with day-to-day needs, recreational activities and to provide high quality intensive therapeutic care to young people (CSE) or those who present early life chronic trauma or post-traumatic stress. Our Therapeutic Residential Children’s Homes, are located in East Lancashire near Burnley. They will also provide support to the Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, and their fellow Senior Therapeutic Care Givers.
Required Skills
· It is desirable that the candidate has some experience of caring for young people with emotional difficulties or challenging behaviours however, this is not required.
· We require the candidate to have excellent communication skills.
· We require the candidate to have good ability to work as a team.
· The candidate must have basic IT skills and it is preferable if they are familiar with Office 365.
