This is an exciting opportunity to join the Plaster Technician Team at Homerton Healthcare Foundation Trust, who are keen to develop the Plaster Service supporting the patients of Hackney and beyond.
The successful candidate will require a British Casting Certificate and evidence of Clinical Skills required.
The job will involve working with the Multi-Disciplinary Team at Homerton Healthcare including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Podiatrists . The team reviews their own caseload of patients and supports Orthopaedic Clinics, A+E, Theatres, and Inpatient Ward Settings.
In the absence of the senior plaster technician the post holder will oversee the day to day running of the plaster room, and the successful candidate will contribute to the development and evaluation of clinics in relation to the Plaster Room Service and trauma and orthopaedic outpatients.
We are looking for someone to join the team, who has excellent time management skills to support the flow of demand across the team daily, can influence a team, works well under pressure independently, and while working as part of the team.
To work independently and support qualified staff and allied health care professionals in the assessment, planning, implementing, evaluation of care of all trauma & orthopaedic conditions including the application of all casts and braces without direct supervision

To undertake removal of all casting and fracture bracing for all orthopaedic & trauma patients within the trust including fracture and orthopaedic clinics, all wards, theatres, and emergency department,
The post holder will contribute to the development and evaluation of clinics in relation to the Plaster Room Service and trauma and orthopaedic outpatients.
