We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join our Health Care Assistant team. In return for your enthusiasm, you will be supported to develop your clinical skills and will have the opportunity to develop personally and professionally as part of a 'high challenge, high support' environment.
To undertake simple clinical and therapeutic procedures as delegated and under the guidance of senior team members. Simple clinical and therapeutic procedures may include venepuncture, medications, simple wound care, rehabilitation programmes, equipment provision and other tasks according to training and competencies,basic clinical observations and basic tests as instructed to support ongoing care including blood pressure monitoring and sample collection for example.
Empowering patients to regain their health and independence in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team including assisting with ADLs and encouraging activities such as exercises.
To report patient progress/status on a shift-by-shift basis to senior team members and escalating significant issues as appropriate.
To keep accurate, timely electronic and written records according to Trust policy
Taking and recording of temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respirations, and other screening tools on instruction from the qualified nurse and other registered professionals recording the results appropriately and reporting back.
