At the Chapman Barker Unit, we are looking for 2 x Band 5 Staff Nurses who are passionate about nursing and helping others into recovery!
You will be part of the Addictions Service and will have opportunities to network with other specialist services on the Prestwich Site and within GMMH.
The post holder will be required to work a shift pattern, including nights and weekend work.
The Chapman Barker Unit is a 36 bedded unit providing alcohol and substance misuse detox to adults (18 years plus). We offer planned detox to patients with complex physical, mental and social needs and work with Acute Hospital Services across Greater Manchester offering rapid access to alcohol detox (RADAR).
We require a dynamic individual who has an interest and positive attitude to working within substance misuse services in an in patients setting. The post holder should be prepared to pro-actively contribute to a ward environment, as part of a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team.
As a band 5 nurse you will be responsible for the assessment of care needs, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. You will be designated to take charge of the ward in the absence of senior staff. You will be expected to supervise the junior staff and assist in meeting the training and development needs of the ward / department.
