Job description
The North Somerset Early Intervention Team have an exciting opportunity available for an Associate Practitioner in Physical Health to join the team and be part of an expanding and exciting service. Improving the physical health of service user's is a priority for the Early Intervention team, through provision of regular physical health and well-being checks and interventions.
In this role you will be expected to carry out physical health and well-being checks with service users who have experienced a first episode psychosis. Physical health checks will be conducted at the service user's home in a clinic or community setting and will include phlebotomy/venepuncture. This role will also involve liaison with a range of other agencies and provision of interventions to improve physical health outcomes.
A full training and induction package is provided and there are opportunities for ongoing CPD within the team.
You will work closely with the care co-ordinators in the North Somerset Early Intervention Team and be supported by the locality physical healthcare team.
