Job description
OPD is a multidisciplinary team that has developed innovative approaches to working with high risk offenders with Personality Disorders who are seen by the National Probation Service in Bristol, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. This Offender Personality Disorder Pathway Service (OPD) is funded through the National Offender Personality Disorder Strategy. This strategy aims to improve the management of offenders who have a personality disorder within the Criminal Justice System through psychological health improvement, public protection work, and workforce development.
Working from home is supported along with attendance to our offices and Approved Premises offices based across Gloucestershire, Somerset, Bristol and Wiltshire. Though this post is based in Bristol there may be a requirement for you to travel outside of Bristol for meetings and training.
Service users have complex problems including personality disorder, drug and alcohol abuse and social exclusion; they have usually committed serious violent and/or sexual offences. Much of our work is group based with service users and consultation to the managing teams.
