Job overview

Are you a talented administrator? We're looking for an individual, with or without NHS experience, to join our friendly Cardiology Audit Team. As a Clinical Audit Assistant you will be expected to provide comprehensive administrative support for the National Cardiology Audit programmes conducted by the team. In return you can expect a diverse and interesting role and the support to further develop your skills in clinical audit and gain experience in the NHS.

The post holder will be highly motivated and enthusiastic. Possess excellent IT skills, have first class organisational skills, attention to detail and be a great communicator.

The post is permanent, working 12 hours per week, based at Solihull hospital with cross site working where appropriate. A term time contract may be considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Working towards or attained NVQ 3/BTEC/A'Levels or equivalent.

or;

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in an Administrative environment
  • Good knowledge and experience of using various Microsoft Office Software programmes including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal demonstrating sympathy and compassion
  • Good time management skills
  • Understand confidentiality and apply the principles in everyday working practice
  • Ability to pay attention to detail where there are unpredictable interruptions to the work pattern
  • Ability to deal with stressful situations and sensitive issues
  • Able to use own initiative and deal with the unpredictable
  • Able to work under pressure and multi-task
  • Able to work to deadlines
  • Experience of working in a busy environment

Desirable

  • Previous experience of clinical audit project or clinical information systems
  • Previous experience of NHS or public sector working
  • Experience of using Trust IT systems

  • Understanding data - extracts, collates, quantitative and qualitative analyses and validates data, recognising alternative solutions where necessary
