Shift Schedule:
Healthcare assistant shifts are available Monday – Sunday. Shift times are usually 12:00-00:00 or 14:00-02:00.
Healthcare Assistant Job Description:
You will be responsible for conveying and caring for patients who have been appropriately allocated within the protocols of the NHS trust. This could include acute, urgent and routine patients.
You will be assisting the ambulance service in their regular duties, this could include:
- Ensuring patients have their basic needs catered for and their homes are safe.
- Using carrying aids to manoeuvre patients to the ambulance.
- Providing care for the patient during transport.
- Participating in equipment trials and highlighting areas for service development.
- Providing clinical assistance to authorized competence levels when required.
- Taking patients to the agreed treatment area in the hospital or centre.
Healthcare Assistants must have:
- Minimum of 6 months NHS experience
- Recognised qualifications
- Have right to work in UK
- A current DBS on the update service
- Full flu/COVID Vaccinations*
- As per government guidelines, Healthcare Assistants must have proof of their first jab by 1st February 2022 and be fully vaccinated by 1st April 2022.
