The CompanyBakeri Baltzersen is the recently established wholesale and retail bakery operation that is part of Baltzersen’s, and is based 7km outside Harrogate at Springfield Farm on the A59 near Menwith Hill. We bake a range of long fermented sourdough loaves, rye, ciabatta and more traditional yeasted white and granary style loaves/rolls. We also bake pastry and vienoisserie from scratch.The RoleWe have full-time and part-time Bakery Driver/Packer opportunities.Days: On current planning Full time hours (Wed - Sun). Part-time (Fri - Sun)Typical Hours: Midnight - 9amDuties will include:Packing products for delivery.Driving and delivering to our partners.Other duties as required by the bakery manager.Early Start Early FinishBaking is a process that happens overnight so we can get bread and pastries to our partners and customers as fresh as they can be. With this brings early starts for the packing team at Midnight. You need to be the type of person that can be relied upon to get into work because you could be the first person in for a packing shift - sleeping through your alarm is not an option.PrepWe are looking for someone who will be able to complete preparations for the following days deliveries so confidence using a computer and a keen eye for detail are both required.DrivingWe have a range of vans all under 3 years old that are a pleasure to drive and most of the deliveries are complete before traffic starts getting busy.TransportThe location of the bakery and the times of the shifts mean that you need to have your own transport to get you to and from the bakery. Public transport is not an option.PayThe basic rate for this role is £11.20/hr.We also pay an additional £2.70/hr as an 'Unsocial Hours' top up rate between Midnight and 6am.Job Types: Permanent, Part-time, Full-timeSalary: £11.20-£13.90 per hourSchedule:Night shiftWork Location: In person
