Our Company
Bakeri Baltzersen is looking for a Bakery Packer and Prep at our bakery at Kettlesing Head - 7 Miles outside Harrogate.
Bakeri Baltzersen bakes a range of long fermented sourdough loaves, rye, ciabatta and more traditional yeasted white and granary style loaves/rolls and laminated dough products from scratch.
We are a growing bakery with a balance between supplying our own cafe and bakery shops and providing wholesale supply to many of the best cafes and coffee shops around Leeds, Harrogate and the surrounding areas.
The Role
As a Bakery Packer and Prep you will be part of our team of packers who pick the products each morning for wholesale and retail customers. Once the vans have been dispatched on their delivery routes you will then plan the next days routes and prepare the packaging.
Packing the correct items within orders and delivering efficiently is absolutely vital for us to provide excellent service for our partners. The right person is able to concentrate for prolonged periods and has great attention to detail.
We do use computer systems as part of the planning process so this position suits someone who is confident working on computers and Microsoft Excel in particular.
Shifts
This role will be worked over 5 x 7 hour shifts from around 11pm to 6am (Thursday - Monday)
It's an early start so you need to be the type of person that can be relied upon to get into work - it's not easy to find cover for someone who hasn't turned up at 11pm!
Transport
The location of the bakery and the times of the shifts mean that you need to have your own transport to get you to and from the bakery. Public transport is not an option.
Pay
The basic rate of pay for this role is £11.20/hr.
We also pay an additional £2.70/hr as an 'Unsocial Hours' top up between Midnight and 6am.
