The Artful Baker is expanding and looking for its next bakery assistant. Could this be you?
We are a small, fun and hardworking team based in Christchurch looking to recruit new members to help us increase production volumes in our Bakery. We currently produce thousands of Artisan Biscuits each day which ship all over the world to restaurants, hotels, cafes, delis and shops.
The job is for an immediate start and as such we unfortuanerly can't set up an interview if you have a notice period.
Packer / Bakery Assistant will ideally suit someone who has a good understanding of a production environment and food hygiene. However all training will be provided to help you adapt to your new role.
Duties will involve - Laying up products for baking. Using machines to cut required bakery products. Quality control of products. Packing products using our machines and helping palletise for deliveries. Keeping all production areas clean and tidy and cleaning machines and utensils each day. Manual data entry with clear record keeping is a requirement.
A methodical and physically fit candidate will be required as there will be manual lifting throughout the day.
General work hours of Packer / Bakery Assistant role will be Monday to Friday - Working between the hours 7am to 6pm. Exact hours for the fortnight will be given in advance. Flexibility will be key.
