Job Description:
As a Bakery Production Assistant you will be working as part of a team in our fast paced bakery in Llanelli, where we manufacture our range of bread and confectionary products and produce quality bakery items.
Here’s What You Can Expect to be Doing
- Production, baking and packing various bakery products.
- Working across all production lines
- Set up and run machinery used for the manufacture of bakery products to set specifications.
- Completing of documents and records accurately
- Comply with all Health & Safety policies, rules and guidelines.
- General housekeeping, and maintaining the cleanliness of the production areas.
- Moving equipment such as trolleys and racks safety
A Few Things About You
- To be a positive and organised individual
- Experience of working within a similar role is desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication skills, to be enthusiastic, committed and self-motivated
- Ability to work in a safe manner and consider the safety of others
- Willing to work a flexible shift pattern which include weekends and Bank Holidays
You will also be expected to work within our dispatch department as & when necessary:
You will spend most of your working day standing, and the work often involves bending, lifting, carrying and loading.
The successful candidate will be responsible for packing products into boxes, stacking pallets, moving pallets while maintaining health and safety standards and ensuring product quality.
You will be responsible for taking the finished product of the manufacturing process and ensuring that it is packaged in line with company and industry standards, making it ready for sale or distribution.

This role can be quite physical at times as you will be required to do the following:
- Picking/Packing finished products, into baskets/boxes
- Manual Handling
- Clean as you go
- This position is a standing role
