Join Jet2.com as a Baggage Agent and help us send our all-important customers on holiday!
At Jet2.com we are proud to deliver a VIP Service to our customers. Building on our established operation at Newcastle Airport, we are now expanding our fantastic Red Team to include Airside handling and are now recruiting our own in-house Ramp and Baggage teams to allow us to fully manage our service delivery and ensure we deliver a fantastic service to our customers each and every time!
What will you do as a Baggage Agent?- Ensure the accurate and timely loading and allocation of baggage from the Bag Hall the correct aircraft.
- Drive our airside vehicles on the Ramp safely to transport baggage items to the correct aircraft whilst meeting set Service Level Agreements.
- Work with our Ramp Agent teams to load the aircraft, adhering to safety instructions and weight & balance parameters.
- Unload inbound baggage items and ensure correct distribution onto Baggage Carousels.
Working in all weather conditions, this is a physically demanding role involving loading high volumes of items, up to 32kg in weight, on every shift. In order to work safely in an Airside environment and operate our vehicles, candidates must hold a full UK Manual Driving Licence and pass a Medical, administered by the airport.

This role is available on permanent 37.5 hour per week contract basis. As we are always on hand to help our customers, this position involves working on a rostered shift basis and requires flexibility to support our flight programme. Shifts will cover our 24/7 operation and will include working weekends and bank holidays.
