Job description

We are looking for Operatives to join our busy distribution centre in Samlesbury.

How will you contribute?

The successful candidate will be expected to perform a range of administrative, warehouse and inventory duties including:
To receive / put away stock efficiently and accurately maximising location utilisation
To pick and pack stock productively and accurately
To consider the quality of work while completing tasks
Utilising of RDT’s (radio data terminals) to scan stock during operational processes
Data input and related administration of the on-site WMS and other systems
Cycle counting of stock within the warehouse
Checking of picked stock and assembled loads prior to loading and despatch
A range of duties to support the operational efficiency and general housekeeping and hygiene standards of the warehouse and site

What will you bring?

Excellent IT skills
Able to provide and understand the need for a high standard of customer service
A proactive, flexible and "can do" attitude to resolve issues and challenges
The individual needs to be able to demonstrate attention to detail and an accurate and precise way of working to ensure all documentation and data is correct.
Good communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team but also independently and to show initiative
The ideal candidates will possess a positive attitude with a keen and enthusiastic approach.
