This is an exciting time in BA Cityflyer to join our Operations Control Centre as a Flight Planning Controller. This role supports BA Cityflyer and BA Euroflyer flying programme from our hubs at London City and London Gatwick, to some of the most desirable European destinations. About the Role

Are you comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment that requires you to think on your feet, and deliver flexible and robust solutions? Are you a team player who enjoys working with people and systems? If this sounds like you then this role is an excellent opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and experience in our Operational Control Centre.

As a Flight Planning Controller, you’ll be responsible for work collaboratively with the Operations Controllers, analysing BA Cityflyer and BA Euroflyer flight plans. You’ll focus on adjusting centralised generic flight plans, to react with agility to areas not limited to: airspaces changes, industrial action, and ATC issues.

About You - experience and knowledge required

  • Previous experience in Flight Planning
  • Experience in handling the complexities of an operational environment
  • Knowledge of operations, crew control, air traffic and airline operating procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of LIDO 4D
  • Understanding of weather and its effect on aviation
  • Knowledge of aeronautical data and related navigation charts
