Job description

Overview:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines, managing infrastructure, and monitoring systems.

Key Essential Skills:

  • 5+ years' experience in a DevOps/Platforms/Infrastructure roles at a technology driven organization.
  • Experience with IaaC such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Pulumi
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • CI/CD tools & techniques while working on any one major cloud platform ( AWS, Azure).
  • Containers & orchestration frameworks (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab).
  • Experience with networking concepts is a plus

Desirable Skills:

  • All stages of the software delivery life cycle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work closely with engineers in cross functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Automation using Python or Shell Scripting.
  • Operational monitoring and dashboarding for applications (eg. ELK, SonarQube, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Experience on SharePoint or PowerBI would be plus.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Drive continuous improvements in our release pipeline to ensure faster, more scalable, and higher quality delivery of our products and services
  • Collaborate closely with our development and deployment teams to support the delivery of new and updated products
  • Participate in project planning and management activities
  • Take ownership of the operation and maintenance of relevant services and capabilities
  • Provide expert technical advice on the adoption and use of delivery pipeline capabilities
  • Continuously seek better ways to achieve our goals, while keeping an eye on future technology trends and ensuring our existing technology and clients continue to thrive and evolve
  • Prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate complex data or technical concepts to non-technical internal clients.
  • Lead small teams in technical assignments.
  • Delivering projects within Agile or Scrum framework.
  • Training and mentoring of immediate team members and colleagues in the wider business.
  • Support transformation projects that involve the adoption of new technologies and processes

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
