The Concept
'Ayush', meaning long healthy life in Sanskrit, embodies the dream for Ayush Wellness Spa. The vision is to create a spacious, natural environment for health and healing based on the principles of Ayurveda.
We are the first Ayurvedic hotel destination spa in the United Kingdom.
Ayurveda, for those who are new to the concept, means ‘Science of life’. Originating in India more than 5000 years ago, Ayurveda is truly a natural holistic form of healing and believes that the rhythm of life is at one with the rhythm of nature.
The Candidate The renowned Ayush Spa is looking for a friendly, courteous, qualified and experienced individual to join the team.
To carryout Ayurvedic Panchakarma therapies as advised by the Ayurvedic Physician, maintaining the highest standard of professionalism in all aspects of spa operations. To ensure all treatments are carried out to the highest standards and targets are met. Required to maintain the five star levels of quality and cleanliness.
Qualifications and Experience
A recognised Degree / Diploma in Ayurveda Panchakarma Therapy / Ayurveda Nursing; additional qualifications in Spa therapies and Yoga therapy are desirable.
Significant 2-3 years working experience in an Ayurvedic Spa Centre within a large 4* hotel.
Skills:
- Excellent working knowledge of Spa therapies;
- Excellent communication and fluency in English;
- Work under pressure and excellent customer care;
- Assist in Spa Reception duties;
- Good interpersonal manners and good team player;
- Excellent time management;
- Adaptable, flexible and ready to learn.
