The Role
As a key member of our managed services team, your role as an AWS engineer will be to collaborate closely with clients, grasping their distinct requirements to develop bespoke cloud management approaches that drive efficiency, dependability, and cost-effectiveness. Your efforts will make a significant difference for businesses across various sectors, enabling them to harness the advantages of the cloud and stay competitive.
Joining our enthusiastic group of cloud engineers, you'll be instrumental in assisting clients in leveraging the full power of AWS. Our team's unwavering dedication to delivering top-notch support and ensuring the seamless operation of clients' cloud infrastructure sets us apart.
Your day-to-day tasks involve deploying updates via CI/CD pipelines, managing, monitoring, and optimizing our clients' cloud environments. As a trusted partner, you'll proactively detect potential problems, tackle them effectively, and guarantee smooth performance, security, and scalability.

What will I be doing?
Change/Incident Management
- Manage a customer ticket both technically and procedurally via Phone, Email or Web portal in line with defined SLAs and KPIs.
- Escalation and proactive chasing of Vendors and external support groups.
- Manage your own ticket queue and assist other team members where appropriate.
- Assessment and delivery of changes to customer environments.
Collaboration
- Working with Customer Success Managers, Solutions Architects, Centre of Excellence team and other technical teams across the business.
- Work with the team in the continuous improvement of our AWS offerings.
What will I bring to the role?
Essential:
- Service Desk experience at 3rd Line or similar level
- Strong understanding AWS as a cloud platform.
- Hold, at a minimum, an Associate level certification in AWS
- Familiarity with IaC languages such as CloudFormation and/or Terraform, along with the principles of best practice with IaC.
- Experience in Windows Server / Linux operating systems
- Experience working in an ITIL environment
- Competent with version control using Git.

Working towards:
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional
- AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
- Terraform Certified Associate
- An interest in DevOps tooling
