Role: Automotive Service Manager
Location: Cardiff, CF11 8TT
Hours: 40 hours per week. Working any 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis.
Salary: £40,000 per year + bonus scheme that provides an on target annual earnings of £55,000 + £450 per month car allowance.

What does the job involve?
- You will manage the team within the Service Centre to ensure that we deliver a truly fantastic customer experience.
- You will be managing the co-ordination for the delivery of circa. 300 vehicles per month.
- You will be responsible for running a refurbishment programme for external companies of circa. 350 vehicles per month.
- You will manage the vehicle movement on site and manage the budget for the department.
- You will oversee the performance and quality of the Service Centre.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that customer service levels are upheld, and improvements are made where required.
- You will follow assignments through to completion and work towards set deadlines.
- You will ensure that we provide a first-class customer experience.
- To build strong long lasting working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Also, you will be responsible for your team, which will include recruitment, training and development of your team.
- You will need to ensure that all health and safety legislation is consistently adhered to.
- You implement adequate safety and security procedures to protect both colleagues and property.
- You will need to promptly identify problems, find solutions in a timely manner using sound judgement and experience and taking effective action.
- Any other reasonable duties requested of you.
What skills or experience do you need to join the team?
- A full valid UK driving licence is essential.
- An excellent understanding of Health & Safety best practice.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Minimum of 2 years previous motor industry experience (main dealer Service Advisor, Vehicle Technician, Parts Advisor, other customer facing MI position).
- Experience of managing a diverse work group.
- Experience of working in a sales environment and/or a customer facing role would be beneficial.
- To be able to maintain a safe and productive working environment at all times.
- Excellent product knowledge (vehicles, service schedules, parts, repair times).
- You will need excellent customer service skills, in order to build a strong rapport with our customers.
- You will need to be highly organised and have excellent attention to detail.
- You will need to be proficient in using IT packages such as; excel, Microsoft word, outlook and in-house systems.
