Automotive Parts Person / Parts Advisor / Parts Assistant
Ailsworth, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
For over 34 years Nene Overland has offered an extensive range of services from routine servicing, repair to restorations, full bespoke custom builds, performance engine conversions, installs and full overland expedition vehicle preparation incorporating all Land Rover product from the old classic Defenders to the most up to date Range Rover or Discovery.
Due to the success and expansion of Nene Overland, we are looking for a motivated person to join the Parts Team.
You will work as part of the existing team to proactively grow the parts and accessories business while managing the current stock portfolio.
You will understand the importance of being a trusted advisor to customers and always provide the highest level of parts support with a sales minded approach by upselling services and products while maintaining existing customer relations.
Key Responsibilities:
Based within the parts department, this role includes the following key priorities:
- Serving parts to customers over the counter.
- Providing parts assistance to the service department.
- Dealing with incoming telephone enquiries to the parts department.
- Using online parts catalogues to look up and identify parts for customer enquiries.
- Advising customers when their stock has been received and is ready for collection.
- Picking and packing stock and dealing with receipts of items for customers and for stock.
- Able to deliver high levels of customer service.
- Processing goods-in and stock replenishment.
- Maintaining the integrity of the stock holding through daily routines.
- Proactively manage and sell quality used parts.
- Attend industry events and shows to assist in promoting the business.
Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have / be:
- Knowledge of the Land Rover and 4x4 automotive Industry.
- Highly motivated with team spirit qualities and target driven.
- Prioritising, time management, planning and organisational skills.
- Good communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Competent PC skills and administrative ability.
Additional Information:
- This is a permanent, full-time position.
- You will report directly to the parts manager.

Salary: £20,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Automotive parts or engineering industry: 2 years (required)
