Team Description
We are looking for a Quality Automation Engineer to join our engineering team in Sheffield, working on our front line products. As an automation engineer you will create, manage and maintain automated tests, as well as being a quality ambassador on your team. You will join a team building the tools that allow product managers to gather the full picture of the customer, by integrating qualitative feedback data with the full power of Pendo's analytics and guidance platform.

Role Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation test scenarios using browser automation tools (including Cypress), and API testing tools (including Postman)
- Be the ambassador for testing within your feature team
- Perform various types of testing, including manual, functional, system integration, regression
- Collaborate with developers to address any bugs, defects, or issues found
- Conduct root-cause analysis of identified defects, providing development teams with sufficient details to understand, replicate, and resolve them
- Identify gaps in existing test coverage and opportunities to improve test efficiency
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with web automation testing, both front end and back end
- Experience using browser automation tools such as Cypress or Selenium
- Basic coding skills for writing and debugging automation tests
- Knowledge and understanding of HTTP APIs
- Team player with great communication skills
- Highly motivated, self-learning, and independent
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as Jest
- Experience gathering and presenting test analytics data
- Exposure to backend and statically typed languages
- Experience with performance and load testing
- Knowledge of frontend web application frameworks
- Familiarity with cloud computing

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation,
benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.
The expected base salary range for this role in the following location is:
Sheffield, UK - £36K-£45K
Individual pay rate decisions, including offers made within and over the expected salary range, are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
