Job Specification
The Job You’ll Do;
- Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, Execute the company Digitalisation strategy at the site.
- Supervision of internal and external projects in the field of digitalisation and automation.
- Planning and technical implementation of production & testing machinery PLC retrofits, PLC programming for machine connectivity (OT, fieldbus/PLC layer).
- Integration of the location into the MES System (SCADA).
- Further development and improvement of process data acquisition at the location.
- Strengthen the company-wide digitisation network.
- Development of methods and tools to stabilise data recording.
- Support of internal SME structure regarding digitalisation.
- Promote a health and safety culture and attend safety training when required.
- Mentor associates e.g., apprentices, technicians etc. to increase individual and team understanding and capability in the subject area.
About You;
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering/ IT related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in digitization initiatives and projects.
- Experience with one or more of the following: Hardware PLCs (Omron/ Siemens), HMI, SCADA, Software Python, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, PHP, C/C#/C++
- Good working knowledge of Networking & Databases (SQL) – Desirable.
- Experience working within a Manufacturing/Engineering environment – Desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade, influence and, when appropriate, challenge with tact and diplomacy.
- Pro-active approach to work and problem solving with the ability to spot and deal with issues as they occur.
- Creative and analytical thinking style, applying tenacity in the face of obstacles.
- Convincing communication style with a broad variety of hierarchies, functions and backgrounds of people.
