Assistant Team Manager
Summary
£32,500 up to £41,000 per annum - This isn’t day-to-day management. This is inspiring leadership.
Our new Luton RDC we contain a range of automated machinery (pocket sorter) fixtures and fittings for which we are looking for a highly skilled maintenance team are always on the go. As Automated Maintenance Assistant Team Manager, you'll lead your team of engineers and operatives by example to integrate new technology into out day to day business.
You'll communicate confidently with all kinds of people as you manage repairs, coordinate and schedule maintenance actions with the operational team and fix breakdowns. Your team will pull out all the stops to keep our equipment, machinery and work spaces in top condition, championing health and safety at all times.
What you'll do
- Lead a team of engineers and operatives
- Be responsible for the smooth running of the overall automation technology
- Cooperate with the supplier on day to day activities & root cause analysis
- Organise service schedules and manage the spare parts for the automated machinery
- Coordinate and carry out preventative maintenance
- Sort breakdowns swiftly and efficiently
- Manage on-site contractors
- Champion good working practices
What you'll need
- Multi skilled maintenance engineer C&G 3 & NVQ3 or equivalent (mechanic/electromechanics) or experience in maintenance of automated installations environment
- IOSH managing safety or other certificated H&S training
- ROSPA working equipment awareness
- Working at height and harness training
- Experience with automated mechanical & electrical equipment (pocket sorter, conveyor systems, etc.) & 18th edition C&G electrical regulations
- Experience with health and safety files/O&M manuals
- Experience with CDM training for contractors
- Strong leadership skills to make decisions, inspire and communicate at all levels
- Experience in reading electrical drawings
- Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.
- Outstanding organisation and confident multi-tasking to prioritise deadlines
- Motivation, flexibility and plenty of initiative
