Job description
To put the Customer at the heart of DD Service Delivery. Providing Site Co-ordination Installation Design Authority (SCIDA) drawing office services.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform the Site Co-ordinating Installation Design Authority (SCIDA) CAD drawing function to ensure that the full benefits of Physical and Environmental Configuration Management (CM) for MoD ICT are delivered across the Defence Enterprise.
- Carry out audits of installed equipment and create or amend CAD drawings to ensure accurate configuration records.
- Providing help and advice to Customers requiring DD SCIDA services, engendering a greater understanding of DD and what the organisation can and cannot deliver.
- Investigating and solving drawing problems and issues
- Keeping accurate and configuration controlled drawings and documents
- Continually improving Customer Service processes, policies and standards for SCIDA
- Maintaining knowledge about DD SCIDA products and services and keeping up to date with changes
- Keeping ahead of developments in Customer Service
- Supporting, and providing intelligent advice and information, to DD Customer Managers
Person specification
It is essential that applicants have a technical /engineering background preferably IT / electrical based and is conversant with the production of CAD drawings. This must be demonstrated in the application. Specific SCIDA background and CAD 2018 training / refresh can be provided.
Travel:
It should also be noted that successful applicants will be required to undertake regular travel throughout the UK including the occasional overnight stay away from home.
Qualifications:
Minimum AutoCAD level 2 C&G or equivalent.
Individuals without a formal qualification may be considered, if they are qualified AutoCAD Draughtsman with a demonstrable minimum of 2 years draughting experience undertaken within the last 5 years.
