Job Title: Audio Typist

What you’ll be responsible for:

· Provide an efficient audio, copy typing and word processing service for our contracted Pathologists.

· The role requires the typing of letters and post-mortem reports which contain both sensitive and upsetting content.

· Letters and post-mortem reports will be securely e-mailed to the pathologist for their attention.

· maintaining the filing and administrative system, to ensure both written and electronic reports are kept secure and easily accessible.

· You will have access to confidential information relating to deceased patients when carrying out their specified duties above therefore all information is to be regarded as strictly confidential.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

· An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.

· Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.

· A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Audio typist experience

· Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written

· Excellent organisation skills

· Previous experience in similar role

· Medical terminology knowledge

· Microsoft office- word, outlook and excel
