PitStop Productions are looking for a Production Assistant to join our audio team at our studios in Barnsley. This role will be based within the Sound Design department assisting with the coordination of projects alongside the Production Managers and Project Leads.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to creatively contribute to the many titles we have in production, all while being supported by 60+ audio professionals in all departments at PitStop such as Sound Design, Music, Voice and Performance Capture.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is highly organised, loves working with fellow audio professionals and has a desire to influence and manage AAA audio in video games.
Recently completed titles include: Returnal: Ascension, Little Nightmares II: Enhanced Edition, and the latest Minecraft Dungeons expansion packs.

Responsibilities
- Working alongside the Production team and Project Leads to support the provision of audio services within game development
- Project scoping with the Production team, working out deliverables, timelines and potential resources, then supporting the delegation of work/tasks
- Reviewing documentation, understanding the game/project and the audio requirements
- Maintaining calendars, schedules, production timelines, updating documentation as the project progresses
- Managing delegated tasks within issue tracking software such as JIRA & Redmine, assigning and following up to ensure the flexible and efficient working
- Organising and attending routine sync meetings and regular catch ups with team members for updates on progress, ensuring meeting agendas are written up prior
- Arranging project ‘milestone’ meetings such as: project reviews/playthroughs and creative kick offs to ensure the progression of each project
- Following up on action points from meeting notes
- Reporting production blockers or flagging out-of-scope client requests to senior members of the team
- Supporting other members of the team with ad-hoc tasks when required
What Skills Do We Need
Essential

- Ability to track a large number of tasks using project management software such as ClickUp or Jira
- Highly proficient with word processing and spreadsheet programs, specifically Excel and Google Sheets
Desirable
- Experience in the games industry in production capacity
- A basic understanding of sound design and it’s function within video games
- An awareness of commercial DAW’s, audio middleware and game engines such as; Reaper, Logic, Wwise, FMOD, UE4 and Unity etc…
- BA/BSc degree in creative media or equivalent experience

This position will be held at our studios in Dodworth, Barnsley. Please ensure you are willing to commute or relocate in order to attend the office.
